Tuesday, 20 February 2007

Sony Imageworks has announced that it purchased a 50.1 percent stake in Indian effects company FrameFlow. The studio will work with SPI's main Culver City production facility.

Imageworks will invest in infrastructure, technology, and training in the company. They will also help the studio relocate into a larger office in Chennai India that will seat more than 300. Jenny Fulle, EVP, of production for Imageworks believes that this will equate to $20 million in revenue in three to five years.

FrameFlow is located in Chennai, India; not China. Think you meant to post Asia, not China in the Headline for this article? Or are Sony and FrameFlow now starting up another facility in China as per the Headline: "Sony ImageWorks Invests in China" as is currently posted...
