The Sony Pictures Animation film Open Season ran away with the top spot on the DVD sales chart last week.  The movie stars a bear named Boog and a mule deer named Elliot, the two combined forces to help earn $84.3 million in its holiday season theater run.  Exact sales figures for home video releases are hard to come by and largely kept as a secret from the public.  This was SPA's first release, Surf's Up cruises into theaters this summer and will be their next CG animated film.
