The Future of Animation? E-mail
Monday, 17 July 2006

Digital Fish and its ex-Pixar founders believe they have developed the animation tool of the future.  From their homepage:  Reflex is the new way to do 3D animation that will benefit everyone involved in studio production. Whether you’re animating in the trenches, technically supporting a team, managing a major film or game, or teaching the artform to future animators, Reflex is the tool for you.

Incorporating such features as drawing planes, arcs/motion paths visible in 3D view, layering tools, onion skins, and more- this company believes that it has developed an animation tool for large and small productions alike.  Coupled with an open ascii file format, the software (called "Reflex") should be able to connect with most high end CG packages.  For more information, you can check out their webpage
