It is reported that Jeffrey Katzenburg came to actor Ian McShane and asked him to be a voice in the CG feature Kung Fu Panda.  It isn't uncommon for studios to animate tests with an actors voice to not only see if the voice fits, but to help convince the actor to take the gig.  In a strange animated test by the DWA crew, they animated what could be an R-Rated scene.

According to McShane, the animators took the audio from a scene in Deadwood where the actor stomped on a woman's head and "beat the crap outta her".   Hopefully this violent animation test will appear on the DVD or on the internet.
