DreamWorks in both Redwood and Glendale California are seeking entry-level technical directors that will ensure smooth operation and fulfillment of a production’s technical needs. The applicant must be new college graduate.

Duties include:
• Monitors and assists in resource management. Areas include:  Data archive and backup Disk space, Production revision control, Render farm process and usage, Software testing


• Provides support and development of tools and procedures, which extend andenhance the production pipeline.  • Will support other Technical Directors with troubleshooting, development, anddocumentation, as the Department Technical Director Supervisor determines the need.  • Adheres to pre-established studio standards.  • Attend weekly TD meetings as determined by the Department TD Supervisor.

 

Requirements and Experience:
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
• Strong math and programming skills.
• Experience with the UNIX environment. Linux experience a plus.
• Experience with Perl and shell scripting (csh/tcsh).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to take direction and pay close attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a team environment. Must have a positive attitude.
