Making and underwhelming $59 million in the box office, Surf's Up is number #1 in both the DVD sales and rental charts. Although sales figures aren't available, rental figures to be about $8 million.

A CG theatrical release of Thundercats will be coming from Warner Brothers. Directed by Jerry O'Flaherty, the property revolves around a group of humanoid cats who must flee the planet of Thundera, which is destroyed. Once crash-landing on another planet, Third Earth, they must thwart Mumm-Ra, an evil sorcerer bent on killing them off.

A new trailer (French) has been released by Disney, for Pixar's latest film Wall-E. You can find the low resolution version here, while the HD version can be found here. Wall-E opens in June of 2008.

Announced earlier this month, Sony Pictures Animation is entering the direct to video market with a sequel to Open Season. Although the original made approximately $190 million worldwide, Sony feels that it performed strongly enough to warrant a home video release. The sequel will most likely focus on the original stories "Mr. Weenie", the dachshund who escapes to join the forest animals. Sony has mentioned that at least some of the production will probably take place in India and New Mexico, two of their satellite offices.
